PtCrystal Team Visits Gulf Research Center to Discuss Saudi Economic Development and New Energy Layout

On November 5th, the PtCrystal team visited Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, Chairman of the Gulf Research Center, to discuss current economic development trends in the Gulf countries and the prospects for various industries in Saudi Arabia.

The Gulf Research Center primarily addresses the significant demand for independent think tanks in the crucial Gulf region and conducts high-quality academic research on the Gulf Cooperation Council (referred to as the “GCC” in the text) region as well as countries like Iran, Iraq, and Yemen. The research focuses on the social sciences and is an independent nonprofit organization. Over the years, the Gulf Research Center has expanded its research areas to over 50, covering economics, politics, international relations, defense and security, the environment, and science and technology. It aims to enhance coordination, cooperation, and integration among member states in various fields, strengthen and enhance the relations and cooperation among the people of the member states, promote the development of industry, agriculture, science and technology in the six countries, establish scientific research centers, build joint projects, and encourage economic and trade cooperation among private enterprises.

During the meeting, the team and Dr. Nabeel Misha researched and discussed the industrial cluster layout of new energy electric vehicles and smart driving technology in the King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia. Facing challenges such as global energy consumption structure changes, low-carbon environmental requirements, and the new energy technology revolution, Middle Eastern countries are more actively advancing energy diversification strategies while accelerating the cultivation of emerging industries to enhance their competitiveness.
